Professional excellence begins with ethical responsibility.
Every professional registered with the Professional Board agrees to uphold the principles of integrity, respect, confidentiality, professionalism, accountability, competence, and client-centred care. Registered professionals are expected to work within their own education, training, experience, and defined scope of practice while recognising when referral to another appropriately qualified professional is in the client's best interests.
The Board promotes evidence-informed practice, ongoing supervision where appropriate, professional reflection, and lifelong learning through Continuing Professional Development. These standards protect both professionals and clients while strengthening the reputation of the counselling and mental wellbeing profession.
