Demonstrating Professionalism in Every Interaction
Professional conduct encompasses the behaviours, attitudes, and actions expected of individuals who represent their profession with integrity and respect. Every interaction with clients, colleagues, employers, and the public contributes to the reputation of both the individual professional and the wider profession.
Professionals registered with the International Professional Registrar are expected to communicate honestly, behave respectfully, honour professional commitments, protect confidential information, and maintain appropriate professional relationships at all times. Professional conduct also includes punctuality, reliability, respectful communication, accurate representation of qualifications, and responsible use of technology and digital communication.
Professionals are expected to avoid behaviour that could bring the profession into disrepute or undermine public confidence. This includes misleading advertising, unethical business practices, discrimination, harassment, dishonesty, exploitation of clients, or any conduct that compromises professional integrity.
By consistently demonstrating professionalism, registered professionals strengthen public confidence while contributing to the ongoing credibility and reputation of the International Professional Registrar.
